Tze Yean Lim holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Violin from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He was a member of the faculty string quartet at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He has also presented solo violin recitals in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, South Africa, and throughout the United States. He actively performs at the College Music Society-Great-Lakes Conferences. Besides performing, Lim also maintains a studio of gifted young violinists. His students have appeared as soloists with Louisville Orchestra, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Youth Symphony Orchestra, Central and Northern Kentucky Youth Orchestras. One of his top students had appeared in the National Public Radio program From the Top that features talented young musicians. Lim is currently on the faculty at the Miami University department of music in Oxford, Ohio and the CCM Preparatory Department in Cincinnati.
