Here at Toedtman School of Music, cultural diversity is absolutely central to the work we do, and the environment our school provides.
Now in our fifth decade of providing piano lessons, guitar lessons, drum lessons and more, we strive to make our musical home as diverse as possible. Our students range in age from 2 to 80 years, and our Cincinnati based music teachers come from a variety of national and cultural backgrounds.
Cincinnati Music Students From All Over The World
Students at Toedtman come from all over the planet, including Belgium, Brazil, China, El Salvador, France, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, Guyana, Holland, India, Iran, Japan, Jorea, Pakistan, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Russia, Serbia, Sweden, Vietnam, and Venezuela.
As music is a global force, and a global language, we embrace the diversity of Cincinnati and the Tri-State area, and work to bring as much of that into our musical study as we can. We encourage teachers and students to study the traditional Western musical canon but also to look to musical traditional from nations across the world. Our musical experiences are more enriching when we can embrace the sonic traditions of cultures different from our own.
We look forward to collaborating with you to explore the world through music. And we look forward to bringing those folkloric and classical traditions to the broader Cincinnati community at large.
We fully embrace the unifying role that music plays in our society. It is a universal language that unites us as people in spite of our cultural, racial, or religious differences.
